Announcement: SGC Turns 2

It's been two years since SGC was formed. And now we're celebrating our anniversary with some events for the whole community. Presenting! Shadows of Grand Chase with the forum events! We also have a discussion thread for inquiring about the event mechanics.

Week 1: Hunt the SGC - Finders Keepers

How to join:

• This event is open to all Grand Chasers.
• The SGC Team will post the first clue at the discussion thread.
• Follow the first clue to find the other clues.
• Clues are scattered around the Unified Forum and in Facebook. Follow these to arrive at the final clue.
• The final clue will contain the location and the password of an SGC Staff's room ingame.
• Only one(1) person is allowed per room.

Prefer Tournament Schedule:

• Round 1: December 04 2010 (5:30PM Philippine Time)
• Round 2: December 05 2010 (5:30PM Philippine Time)

Prize:

• 200php worth of LU Load

In-Game Conditions:

• There will be no level limit.
• There will be no armor, accessory or pet restriction.
• The player should accompany the SGC Staff in the dungeon and protect them from dying. The SGC Staff will not help the player in any way.
• However, if the SGC Staff dies three times regardless of Bonuses and Natals, the player must accompany the SGC Staff to a higher-leveled dungeon.
• If a player fails in protecting the SGC Staff twice, he/she is disqualified and the SGC Staff will allow a new person into the room.

Grounds for Disqualification:

• Usage of any TPP(Third Party Program), Cheat Engine, Hack Engine is strictly prohibited. Any player caught using these during the tournament will be automatically disqualified and reported directly to GM Team.
• Sudden disconnection from match.

A New Dawn : An Invictus Noir Story

Author's Note: This one-shot was done in an "alternate universe" from the Grand Chase story itself. I twisted some sentences to give better flow to the story, so sue me =P

A New Dawn: An Invictus Noir Story

Leaves gently rustled as a soft breeze passed by our group, complimenting the flow of water in the creek. The four of us were sitting silently by the trees, each attending to their own business.

"I want to make a guild." came the sudden statement of our "leader". All of us looked questioningly at him, silently inquiring what brought this up. We were answered with a mere shrug.

"All Thief guild?" one of us asked. Jho, the other redhead apart from me, stood by the rocky shade, his dual sword sheathed carefully on his sides. In his hands he held his metallic, dog-like helmet, colored nearly the same as his hair.

'No, that would be too much." our leader, Gix, answered, seated on one of the boulders by the shade. His chin was propped on his sleeved right hand, thinking deeply on what to do. "Will you join?"

"Sure, no problem. But hey, imagine if it was an all Thief guild. Hit and run everywhere." Jho chuckled.

"Alright then." Gix leaped off the boulder he was sitting on. "I'll be working on the draft. Then I'll show it to you guys as soon as it is finished." Dusting off dirt and picking up his sword and shield, he started walking back to town.

"That's alright. Take your time." Jho smiled at him.

"Hey, count me in. What's the name of the guild?" the person nearest to me asked, picking up his broadsword and following Gix. Idril is yet another active member of the group. Like me, he was wearing casual-looking clothes. Only our hair color set us apart at times. His is black. Mine is dark red, darker than Jho's.

Gix looked back at us as we were gathering our items. "Invictus. It was decided that the new guild will be named Invictus." he answered.

"Interesting." I finally spoke up, brushing off dust from my white pants and grabbing my staff. With that, we all walked silently towards Serdin Town.

A faint rustle of the bushes alerted us. Expecting a monster, the four of us switched to our own battle stances. As the rustling grew louder, our grip on our weapons tightened, our focus concentrated.

"Oh so this is where Gix hangs out." a voice from the bushes calls to us. As the person emerged, we all gently let go of the death grip on our weapons and breathed a sigh of relief. It was one of Gix's friends, Valkyrie. Turning to me, he asked, "Joining?"

I shrugged, "Yeah, likely." Shoving my hand into one of my pockets, I run my fingers lightly on the trinket I had kept for so many years. "It's not as if I'm abandoning RadiaTa." I added.

"Well then, I guess we're good to go. Invictus guild, here we come!" Gix shouted, unsheathing his sword and raising up in the air. With a shout of "Yeah!" that came from us, he sheathed his sword back into the shield and started walking vigorously towards Serdin Park.

"What do you mean 'Invictus' is taken?!" Our leader shouted in rage. The guild manager only shrugged and showed us an official record. "It seems that someone doesn't want to lose her members..." muttered out loud. "Well then, I guess it can't be helped." Gix said and added another word into the name.

"Invictus Noir. Here we stand, we conquer. We do it the Invictian way." our leader said.

"No holds barred. No backing out. No mercy." mischief glinting in my eyes as Gix handed an officer's badge to me.

School Visit

Wind Chronicles: Anime Expo-turned-School Visit

Funny how laziness made my best friend and I go to a certain girl's school. Really, I mean, at least we didn't have to deal with such a large populace of males. Yes, you read that right. It's a good thing we did. Or else we'd be so bored at the convention that we would likely go home as soon as we got there.

Daryl and I went to Audrey's school to see what this school fair is all about. It started off as a joke between Audrey and I since I knew she won't be coming to Anime Expo. Behold! That joke resulted to us going to her school instead of the event in Megamall. We met with our "guide" a few minutes after text messages were sent back and forth. I asked Audrey if maybe we can enroll at her school hence I received a slap on the left cheek. The sheep abuses me, yes ( ; A ; ) And so the quest to conquer the school... erm, I mean, we decided to roam around since the sheep is busy with her duties. Daryl and I had to search for that Quickly stand, only to realize that it was in the food court all along. *facepalms* Then *insert random item here*. Okay, we continued to roam around, canvas the school, think of how to infiltrate it and whatnot. And when the sun got too hot, we decided to just sit on a shaded area and explore the "sights". I even mentioned to the sheep that we are in the wrong place. Any place with lots of loli's are definitely jailbait places. Oh yes, minors here, there, everywhere! Ending our little trip to her school is another slap when I called her *insert name called here*. Lol. No worries though. We don't have visual evidence.

What followed the school visit is the short trip to Ministop in Pinaglabanan. We were supposed to order some food there but ended up only buying a bottle of Mountain Dew and crossing the street to the fishball stand. So yeah, imagine foodtrip. I swear if I didn't say we go to the shop in Cubao, we might have finished all of Manong Tinderos goods. We eventually stopped though and took a jeepney ride to Cubao. We had a walkathon because I forgot where Genshiken was located at. Lol. I eventually remembered and we eventually found it though. So care to take a guess what is housed in Genshiken? No? Okay, I'll tell. TOYS! LOTS AND LOTS OF TOYS AND FIGURINES! Yes, I'm that happy. Because there's something I hope I'll be getting. And will give it to someone *hint hint*

For the last part of this blog, I'll give a brief sequence of the events. After buying the FMA figurine, Daryl and I roamed around Cubao for a place to eat. We eventually settled with Mang Inasal. With a semi-full stomach, we walked a few more steps towards Aurora Boulevard, the only way I know how to go home except via LRT.

And that ends our Otaku Expo-turned-School Visit!
I'd like to extend my deepest gratitude to Daryl and Audrey (and Bea) for making that day more fun.

p.s And no, I didn't get to see if Cazzu and Hana went to Otaku Expo. Daryl and I got too lazy to go to the convention.

Introduction: Blog Reborn!

Okay, so I'm quite pissed at myself right now. I accidentally deleted all of my blog posts including the most important, the LevelUp! Live 2010 Experience. And now I have to start all over again. Maybe I'll just do a shortened version of it.

So anyway, since this is technically reborn, I'd like to introduce the tags and title color codes I will be using throughout the blog.

Also, things that are in this blog contain opinions of the author. You have been warned.

Onto the Chronicle List:

• Wind Chronicles - no, this is not Shippuden. This is formerly the "Storm Chronicles". Articles under "Wind Chronicles" mostly contain thoughts about issues or events. Since I'm too lazy to add another, those formerly in "Rave Chronicles" shall be put under this category.
  
• Storm Chronicles - is the new "Rage Chronicles". This will contain any and all rage posts in life and other whatnots.
  
• Lightning Chronicles - will be the name of the "Hall of Shame" segment. In here will be posts about persons, places or objects that fail in their purpose. Be warned that some content may not be suitable to other people. Again, you have been warned.
  
• Special Feature - is the "Hall of Fame" segment. The content would mostly be written either for SGC or I just like to endorse someone.
  
• Fiction - will be for the random bouts of creativity in my head. Do note that this will mostly be "fan made" since I do not want to release my original story on the web.
• Announcements - shall be reserved for special things, like a status update of the author's life, something new from someone or something in the special feature or possibly a new feature in a game.
